Présentation
Construit au début du 19e siècle, le Château-Gris se situe sur un coteau au sud-ouest de Nuits-Saint-Georges, au cœur d’un clos de 3,4 ha. Il tire son nom de son toit recouvert d’ardoises grises alors que la tuile prédomine en Bourgogne : un nom donné à l'époque par la population locale et qui est resté en usage. Suite à une décision de justice des années 1920, le nom de Château-Gris a d’ailleurs pu prévaloir sur le nom du lieu-dit "Les Crots " où se trouve la parcelle.
Le vignoble est planté en terrasses pour s’accrocher à la pente du coteau à une altitude de 260 à 330 mètres. Les parcelles au pied du Château produisent le Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Château-Gris" rouge alors que celles en altitude sont plantées en Chardonnay et permettent d’élaborer le Nuits-Saint-Georges "Les Terrasses" blanc.

Vinification
Vendanges manuelles, tri des raisins à l'arrivée en cuverie.
Macération fermentaire en cuves bois thermorégulées durant 18 à 21 jours.
Elevage en fûts de chêne (35 à 40% de fût neuf) durant 16 à 17 mois.
